So today at University we had a guest speaker come and talk to us about their art career and experience, That guest was Manchester based artist Mishka Henner. He was very interesting in regards to how he became an artist as that was not his first career jump. As he mentioned he never saw himself becoming an artist as he was more of a photographer proving that no one can plan what happens. He explained it took him until the age of 26 to find his artistic muse. This was a great point proving that anyone can become whatever they want if they pursue it. So after the introduction he showcased his work and he used photography as the base of his artwork. Using webcam, satellite imagery and projection techniques he was able to create some interesting things. I personally liked his approach to the arts. he didn't plan it. He expressed he was living within his means day to day for years and proving that perfection takes time. Funny I mention perfection as I could tell He was a perfectionist. He argued that he won't publish any work that he doesn't think meets the sweet spot. I disagree with that approach. The viewer should be the judge. An artist creates what they are emotionally capable of and that is the greatest gift to the world no matter how controversial. To wrap this up I am a fan of Mishka not just for his work but for his personality. he wasn't brought up in an artistic environment he experienced that all on his own and became a success.

Technology failed me again 21/03/19
Had an evening planned to get my artwork uploaded but to my shock, my wifi adapter has died. I have set up a quick funeral for it. The bin!! So now I'm using my very slow laptop to use the Internet. Going to see if I can get a basic one from an all night tesco but I may have to wait until morning. Apart from this set back I've had a pleasant day. had a good shift at work and some positive feedback from my uni tutors. Signing off now.

I use instagram and deviantart the most, deviantart is where I post my mature content as I get alot of requests for those and instagram is used for showcasing most of my work
What Software do I use?
A question that pops up alot when I show my work to people is
Q. What software do you use to make your work?
A. I use the simple windows 3D Paint built into the PC. I would like to master photoshop however it complicates me so much at this stage I will have to look into it but at the mo the 3D paint tool does the job quite well.

I'm Back !!
Yes I am here again, it feels weird to be back. This is my "space" but never bothered to keep updating. So a quick update is in order, alot has changed since 2011. After the split with my then Girlfriend I went into a depressive state and was jumping around jobs and homes but something happened in 2014. I lost everything. I mean everything , my job, my apartment and no help from my family. I was homeless on the streets until my friend from high school took me in .
From there I was able to get back into work, it has gone really well since then, sure my mental health was shot from the shock of being homeless back then and it still haunts me. I vowed never to put myself in that situation again.
Now I live in shared housing and I have been here for 4 years now. Cheap rent and no bills. I have a part time job in a call centre and I am now back in education!! Yes after 12 years I thought I had no chance but it seems life for me has changed for the better. I am studying Graphic design and illustration. I am also creating and selling my artwork, the dream I have always wanted, to be an independent Cartoonist. Everyday I am progressing with different techniques from other artists and personal training.
So why am I back? Well I have been lacking in dialogue and it's time I show my work on this blog for my tutors and fans to read.
I will be posting both Uni work and personal work, like a portfolio.
It's good to be back.
